Known for its award-winning journalism, cutting-edge technology coverage, in-depth educational opportunities, and forward-thinking events, Inman is the industry’s leading source of real estate information.

As a Creative Director, my job was to support the Marketing and Events team in making Inman Connect events successful. Our strategy to get attendee signups consisted of a combination of paid social, organic social, email marketing, display and advertorial content on inman.com

In 2016, we started adding animated gifs to our deliverable lists.

We found that adding animation helped with subscriber engagement, and provides that little extra visual interest a client needs to convert.

What was the result?

According to Litmus, 56.6% of email marketers were using animated GIFs at least some of the time within their email marketing channel in 2018. Above you can see a limited selection of the GIFs we developed for the 2017 Inman Connect event. As you can see, they are very graphic and feature quick movement.
